Three little girls

As usual when it is cold and kids are bored we go exploring our local places. This day found us visiting the Bethlehem public library

As the kids explored the wide open space in the plaza, I noted the sculpture of three girls outside the Bethlehem Area Public Library  decorated with scarves and hats.

The sculpture, called "The Future is in the Hands of Our Children," was a gift by the city residents Linny and Beall Fowler in 2002. It seems like the sculpture of the girls have been embraced by the city as each year, winter scarves and hats are placed on their heads so cold children can take and stay warm. Bethlehem Area Public Library is opened to the public all the time and every citizen is welcome. At the time of the visit, the holiday chimes were still in the plaza, left over from the holiday celebrations.
